Condolence: Merry Christmas Mom;

Today is Christmas day, your favorite day of the year. You started your Christmas shopping in January looking for bargains and completed it just last week picking up the remaining gifts. Last night you hosted your Annual Christmas Eve family get together to celebrate the birth of Christ and family. You may not have been there in person, but you were clearly present in spirit. You will be missed more than you can imagine. You loved watching Christmas shows on the Hallmark Channel throughout the year. Sometimes you would ask me to sit down and watch a show with you. You would say they are heart-warming and wholesome. Here, have another piece of Cherry pie and stay a while. I will miss your chore list identifying what you want me to do this week to make your life more comfortable. Many of the chores were minor. It was more about the two of us just spending time together talking about whatever came to your mind. The usual topic was family, “How are the kids doing.” The most important thing you really ever cared about was family. I will miss running your errands, taking out the garbage, picking up your mail, cleaning your windows, painting, plumbing repairs, laying tile or whatever else you desire. You would regularly say “If you have the time” or “You don’t have the time to help me, you have your own family to take care of.” I would always find the time to help the mother I love. When I would visit you, I would frequently find you asleep on the love seat in the living room. You would wake up upon hearing my voice and say, “I’m not asleep, I’m just resting my eyes.” We would look at each other and just laugh. Get some sleep mom, you deserve it. Gute Nacht und Aufwiedersehen.

Condolence: Grazie, Oma, for all you’ve done for family, friends, & all of the kind people that have entered your heart. You are such a big role model to me because you helped and cared for everyone else but yourself. I looked forward to FaceTimeing you every night for hours on end. All the history you’ve taught me about this world and me teaching you how to do Math. I can now say thank you for the A+ on my Aristotle project. Life will never be the same without such a kindhearted, generous, loving person to talk to. I can’t wait to accomplish my goal of graduating from high school and move on to medical school. I am thinking that Jesus really needed you for Christmas this year. The 15 days I was here this summer was a blast and vacation of unforgettable events. From grilled cheese sandwiches, to a bagel with cream cheese and an egg on top with salt and pepper. You’re food was better that any restaurant I’ve ever been to. It truly was a blessing to taste your delicious pastries. From going to Martin’s, going to Starbucks, getting a snowball, going to Ellie’s 3rd Birthday Party, going to Annapolis with Uncle Vince, and kayaking at Aunt Karen’s, I created so many fantastic memories with you. Oh, and baking! Kneading bread and rolling cookie dough into balls were the best. I’m so glad I have 5 American Girl Dolls to remember you by. Thank you for being the best grandma anyone could ask or imagine of. I love you forever and ever, my sweet Oma❤️

Condolence:
Mom...

This is going to be so hard going on living without you in all of our lives! And...Ellie doesn't understand where you are and why she can't find you at your house. Vince, Joey, Angela and I will love you forever and someday, we will see you again! In the meantime, God Please take care of our Mom; keep her safe and strong until it is time for us to meet her again as she is so special. Us kids were given a life filled with love, & sensitivity; we were given a very special life, and it's not going to be easy to go on living without you! It's so hard for us as grownups to understand so I will try to explain it to Ellie as you would. God please take care of this special lady that took care of so many people; it isn't good bye Mom it's until I see you again, and I love you googolplex and beyond. Kathy
