Obituary for Charles Alexander Proctor

Charles A. Proctor (Ladd) a resident of the Fairhaven Community in Sykesville MD,
passed away Monday morning November 5, 2018. Mr. Proctor is survived
by his wife Betty-Anne (Stephie) Proctor, his three daughters, Lynn P. Richie,
Carole P. Stacy and Dale Proctor. He is also survived by his grandchildren
Heather Davis, Kimberly Shrum,Tanya Alford, Stuart Richie and Heath Stacy and 3 great
grandchildren.
Mr. Proctor was a US Navy WWII Veteran, a Lt. Colonel in the Virginia Civil Air Patrol,
a Colonel in the Virginia State Guard and was an active member of the Mt. Airy VFW,
Mt. Airy American Legion and Mt. Airy Chapter IWLA,. He was also a member of Isle of Patmos Lodge #17 F & A.M Vermont. Mr. Proctor was a certified pilot and was an aviation ground and flight instructor. He also served as an EMT for the Volunteer Fire Department in Virginia.
A Veterans Service followed by a Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 10, 2018 3 PM in the Bishop’s Chapel at Fairhaven Retirement Community 7200 Third Ave. Sykesville, MD 21794 with a reception to follow. Very informal. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517
