Albert L Buckingham, 84 of Winfield , MD, died Tuesday February 1, 2005 at his home with family.
He was married for 58 years to Ruth Hoff Buckingham.
Mr. Buckingham was born October 22, 1920 in Winfield , MD the son of the late Willie Fenton Buckingham and late Carrie Leatherwood Buckingham.
Mr. Buckingham was a former farmer and retired from Congoleum Industries in 1983 after 23 ½ years. He was an active member of Salem United Methodist Church in Winfield. He was a 40 year Charter Member of Winfield Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Carroll County Fire Police.
Surviving besides his wife are son and daughter-in-law A. Wayne and Faye Buckingham of Frederick . Son: Galen Buckingham of Winfield. Daughter and Son-in-law Ruthann and Ernie Pittinger of Winfield. Grandson: Bryan Pittinger and wife Evie of Elizabethtown, PA . Granddaughter: Stacy Baxter and husband Stephen of Frederick.
Sister and brother-in-law Thelma and Charles Mann of Westminster , Sister-in-law Ethel Buckingham of Eldersburg. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Sisters: Myrtle Muller, Edith Deardorff, Rosa Crumbacker, Brothers: Chester Buckingham and Floyd Buckingham.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 5, 2005 2:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield , MD 21784 .
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens , Finksburg , MD
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3 PM until 9 PM. There will be a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM by the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department.
