Allen Hoffman

Allen R. Hoffman, Sr., age 98, of Frederick, formerly of Unionville, died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center in Frederick, MD. He was born December 5, 1913 in Libertytown, MD the son of the late Merle Leroy Hoffman and the late Edith Belle Etzler Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman served in the army during WWII. He was a Farmer in the Unionville and Mt. Airy areas all his life. He was a life member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren. And He loved to hunt. He was the husband of the late Ruth M. Rippeon Hoffman. Surviving are his son and daughter in law, A. Reno Hoffman, Jr. and Sharon of Frederick; grandchildren Hope Hoffman of Frederick, and Michelle Hoffman of Frederick, two great grandchildren, Bradley and Nicole Wentz; sisters Margaret Myers of Libertytown and predeceased by ten brothers and sisters. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy, MD with Pastor Wayne Hall officiating. Interment Locust Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Locust Grove Church of the Brethren.
