Anna Irene Ennis (nee Snyder), age 75, of Mt. Airy, died on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. She was born July 31, 1935 in Mt. Airy, MD the daughter of the late Howard E. Snyder and Ida Magers Snyder. She was a housewife. She was the leader and singer of the band called Irene & The Country Rascals. She loved music, bingo, picnics and parties, music shows and flea markets. She was the wife of Cornelius A. Ennis of Mt. Airy. She was the mother of Danny and Carol Ennis of South Carolina, Connie and John Barnhouse of Mt. Airy and Garey E. Ennis of VA. She was the sister of Evelyn Toms of New Oxford, PA, Catherine Green of Taneytown, Rosie Weddle of Westminster, and the late Mildred Hymiller, Margie Green, James Snyder, Dewey Snyder and Betty Darlean Snyder. She was the grandmother of Bonnie Ellis, Donna Stringfield, Kyle Ennis and Chris Howard. Great grandmother of Samantha Ellis, Jacob Ellis and Tracey Langley. Also survived by special family members Diane Langley, Tracey Langley and LeRoy Langley. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W.
