Arthur F. Crow, 86, formerly of Pikesville, MD., died Saturday, July 9, 2022, at his Bethany Village residence in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Mr. Crow, “Freddie” to his family and friends, was born January 4th, 1936, in Reading, PA., to the late Harry and Evelyn Crow.

He is survived by his second wife, Dorothy E. Crow; sons David, and his partner Wendy Keene, and Michael Crow; grandsons Wesley and Matthew; and brother Richard Crow and his wife Jean; six nieces and nephews.

Mr. Crow served in the United States Army as a radio operator and was stationed in Germany for most of his tour of duty. Prior to his service, Fred attended Penn State at Allentown, moved to Maryland, met, and married his first wife, Ruth, and settled in the Baltimore area. He worked for the IBM Corporation for 36 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Milford Mill United Methodist Church; Baltimore Chapter of National Railway Historical Society; National Association of Watch and Clock collectors.

While enjoying retirement, Mr. Crow, an avid clock, and train enthusiast, made a hobby out of building, fixing, and tinkering with clocks of any type. He would occasionally be seen listening to and fixing a clock if he were at a neighbor’s house or even when out at a restaurant. He also enjoyed many a trip to watch trains, especially the old logging railroad trains in Cass, West Virginia. He also enjoyed camping, sightseeing, and traveling to visit family and friends. Mr. Crow left the Baltimore area in 2011 with his wife, Dottie, and returned to the PA area, settling in Mechanicsburg, PA.

At his request, no viewing will be held; however, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) with Rev. Dr. Laura D. Blauvelt officiating.

There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 1 PM in the Rife Center on the east campus of Bethany Village 325 Wesley Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.

Mr. Crow will have a private burial at Lake View Memorial Park, Eldersburg, Maryland.
