Arthur Dorsey

Arthur H. Dorsey, 77 of Mt. Airy , died Wednesday September 12, 2007 at North Hampton Manor Nursing Home. He was born December 21, 1929 in Mt. Airy , MD the son the late Basil K. Dorsey and the late Mandella Costley Dorsey. He was retired from United Disposal Company in Rockville , MD He was a veteran of US Army and Served in the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Star, United National Medal, National Defense Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers and taking care of the home place. Surviving are Sisters: Nelda Lee of Mt. Airy , Mildred Lyles of Mt. Airy , Anna Richardson of Columbia , Brothers: Carl Dorsey of Monrovia , Herman Dorsey of Westminster , Brother: Charles Dorsey of Frederick , Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 Sister. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday September 19, 2007 9AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield , MD 21784 . Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery , Owings Mills , MD the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8 Am until time of service. Pall Bearers will be Charles Dorsey, Jr., Tyrone Lyles, Michael Lyles, Donald Lyles, Jr., Mark Dorsey, Michael Dorsey and Steve Dorsey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908 , Eldersburg , MD 21784 .
