Asa Nelson Andes, age 81, of Woodbine, formerly of Bealton , VA died Sat. January 22, 2005 at Sinai Hospital , Baltimore , MD.

He was born September 24, 1923 in Bealton , VA the son of the late W.J. Andes and the late Ora T. Holler Andes.

He was the husband of Ruth June Crizer Andes.

He worked on family farm till 1950 and then went to work for Westinghouse as a sheet metal worker. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the Mt. Airy American Legion Goldstar Post 191 and a member at Mt. Airy Senior Center .

Father of Ronald N. & Sherry Andes of Ellicott City , Linda A. Rose and Michael of Clarksville, David S. Andes of Woodbine, Deborah K. Andes of Woodbine.

Brother of Maphis and Lawrence Andes , Evelyn Jett, Ethel Grove, June Crizer and Fern Banks.

Grandfather of Ryan and Justin Andes , Matthew, Amy and Jessica Rose.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday January 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Ellicott City Assembly of God, 10600 Frederick Road , Ellicott City 21042 , with Rev. Tedd Manning officiating.

Interment in Lake View Memorial Park .

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM., Mt. Airy American Legion Goldstar Post 191 Service 7:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation, Inc. PO Box 613 , Annapolis , MD 21404-0613 .
