B. Norwood

B. Lee Norwood 71 of Woodbine, MD, died Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was the spouse of Shelby Jean (Shifflett) Norwood. He was born November 17, 1938 in Mt. Airy, MD the son of the late Norvell Lester and the late Sarah Elizabeth (Bowman) Norwood. He was retired Photographic Manager for Westinghouse. A Veteran of the US Air Force, Enjoyed woodworking, building birdhouses, gardening, playing gospel music on his Dobro and Fishing. Surviving in addition to his wife are Daughters and their spouses; Deborah and Maurice Poole, Jr. of New Windsor, Tammy and Chris Collins of Hampstead, Lisa and Robert Baile of Westminster, Sisters: Joyce Smith Patrick of Damascus, Sue Dawn Allen of Williamsport, MD, Carolyn Masser of Hagerstown, Sister-in-law Patricia Norwood of Mt. Airy. Grandchildren: Jason and Todd Poole, Lauren, Myles and Christian Collins, Megan and Matthew Baile, Preceded in death by Son:Brian Kirk Norwood, Sisters: Doris Clay and Sharon Sidler and Brothers A. Wayne, Darryl E. and Julian Norwood. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 9, 2010 10 Am at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with Rev. Chris Collins officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carroll Hospice 292 Stoner Ave. Westminster, MD 21157.
