Bonnie Sue (Steele) Franks 70 of Mt. Airy, MD, died June 30, 2010 at her daughters home in Mt. Airy. She was the spouse of the late Jerry Wade Franks, Sr. She was born April 30, 1940 in Dante, WV. The daughter of the late Clarence Houston Steele and the late Willie Elizabeth (Harless) Steele. She retired as the owner of Jerry’s Trophies in Mt. Airy, MD , She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Loving Mother of Jerry Wade Franks, Jr and wife Joan of Mt. Airy, Deborah Mae Franks-Earls and husband Harrison Earls, Jr. of Mt. Airy, Linda Sue Richmond and husband the late Jerry Lee Richmond, Sr. of Mt. Airy, John Wayne Franks and wife Billie Jo of Silver Run. Dear Sister of Betty Gail Gremling of SC, Wanda June Taylor of OH, Douglas Steele of OH, and Larry Steel of OH. Loving Grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by siblings Erma Camp, Hermie Steele, Harriet Baer and Patricia Kitchenmaster. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Winfield, MD with the Rev. Keith Vincent of Mt. Airy Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday July 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
