Brenda Dean

Brenda S. Dean (nee Smith), age 65, of Eldersburg, died Monday June 8, 2009 at the Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was born August 11, 1943 in Houlton, Maine the daughter of Pauline F. Powell White and the late Kenneth Smith. She received her Masters of Financial Accounting from Loyola and was a CPA and an Assistant County Auditor for Howard County Government. She served as Treasurer and Sunday School teacher and active member at Calvary U.M. Church in Mt. Airy. She also helped with Meals on Wheels. She was the wife of Benjamin Franklin Dean III. She was the mother of Jennifer & George Solomos and Katie & Jon Engemann. She was the sister of Cheryl Pringle, Phyllis Cavin, David Smith and the late Larry Smith. Loving grandmother of Kaitlyn Engemann, Harry Solomos, Brandon Engemann, Rebecca Solomos, Mary Beth Engemann and Gabriel Engemann. Private Interment at Arlington National Cemetery.
