Carl Otto Garver, age 77, of Woodbine, died Wednesday January 18, 2006 at Continuum Care in Sykesville, MD. Born January 20, 1928 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Martha Louise and the late Carl Edward Garber. He was a farmer most of his life, but also retired from Springfield Hospital Center after 25 years of service in the maintenance Dept. Surviving are his son and daughter in law Duane Carl and Debra Garver of Winfield and granddaughter Angelique Renee Garver of Sykesville. Sister Betty Freyman of Westminster, sisters and brother in laws Virginia and Joe Battaglia, Patricia and James Frankton of Sykesville, brothers Charles Garber of Iowa, Robert Garber of Winfield and brother and sister in law James and Boots Garber of Finksburg and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Thomas E. Garber and brother in law Charles “Bud” Freyman. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD. Funeral Service will be held Saturday January 21, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD.
