Carl Hood

Carl Richard Hood, age 87, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. He was born May 10, 1923 in Mt. Airy, MD the son of the late Archie C. Hood and late Viola Owings Hood. He was the husband of the late Wilma V. Hood (nee Etzler). He was a graduate of Mt. Airy High School. He was a member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, Mt. Airy and He was a self-employed construction worker. He was the father of Portia Ann Hood of Mt. Airy, Vicki Lynn and Denis Hodgkins of Mt. Airy. He was the grandfather of Ashley Victoria Hodgkins and Andrew Carl Hodgkins. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday from 6-9 PM. Funeral Service Friday August 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy with Rev. Wayne Hall and Rev. L. Ross Kirk officiating.
