Carl Rauschenberg

Carl H. Rauschenberg, Sr, 98 years young, husband of the late Catherine E. Rauschenberg and retired Baltimore County Police Officer, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2012 in Woodbine, Maryland. Carl leaves two sons; Carl H. Rauschenberg Jr. of Swansboro, North Carolina; Frank M. Rauschenberg M. Rauschenberg of Emmitsburg, Maryland; and a daughter; Mary E. Rauschenberg, of Ridgefield, Connecticut; He also has ten grandchildren; Laura Rauschenberg Langhage ; Jennifer Rauschenberg; Alicia Rauschenberg; Heather McCready; Caitlin Brooks; Kurt Rauschenberg; Justin Rauschenberg; Bridget Rauschenberg; Austin Gold; Megan Gold; Additionally he has twelve great grand children. He is a veteran of the Merchant Marines; And after a 22 year career with the Baltimore County Police force, he went full time farming in Woodbine, Maryland; where he raised every kind of livestock from swine, sheep, chickens, cattle, goats and horses; as well as numerous types of crops. His farm is registered in the Maryland Land Conservation Program. His animals have been shown at numerous county and state fairs. There will be two viewings on Thursday, March 1st at 2-4:00 PM and at 7-9:00 PM at the Funeral Home. A celebration of his long life will be held at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10:00AM; Burial services will follow the funeral home services at the family cemetery “ Borrowed Acres” at 6951 John Pickett Road in Woodbine, MD 21797. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Carroll Hospice 292 Stoner Ave. Westminster, MD 21157.
