Carl D. Wilson, 85, of Sykesville, MD died Friday, March 4, 2016 at The Dove House in Westminster, MD.
He was born December 1, 1930 in Carroll County, Maryland, the son of the late Oscar Wilson and the late Ella M. Wilson (nee Grimes).
He was the husband of Gloria “Pat” Wilson (nee Eckert) for 64 years.
Carl was a self-employed contractor for the C & P Telephone Company; he flew private airplanes and enjoyed horses and deer.
He is also survived by his two daughters Carolyn Poff and Tammy Eline and the late R. Douglas “Doug” Wilson; brother of Elza Zepp and the late Ralph and Rudolph Wilson; grandfather of Tracey Dear, Sheri Cramer, Brian Wilson, Kevin Spurlock, and Erica (Eline) Fleck; also survived by 4 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; and his best friend Buddy his dog.
