Carlton Stem

Carlton W. Stem 83 of Sykesville, MD, died Sunday July 3, 2011 at the Dove House. He was the spouse of the late Mildred Irene (Glenn) Stem. Mr. Stem was born October 30, 1927 in Gypsy Hill, MD. The son of the late John Wesley Stem and Nellie Virginia Duvall Stem. He was a Vehicle Operator for the State of MD. He loved bowling and bowled with the Mt. Wilson Gophers Bowling League, Loved Farming. Surviving are Daughter and Son-in-law Nancy and Sherman Peeling of Westminster, MD , Daughter Gail Stem of Sykesville, Son Carlton Eugene and daughter-in-law Gail Stem of Sykesville, Daughter Donna Stem and companion Curtis Combs of Woodbine. 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren. Predeceased by Sisters Madeline Porter and Ida Gartrell and Twin Infant Daughters. Funeral Services will be held Friday July 8, 2011 10 Am at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Sykesville, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.
