Carmela Petras

Carmela C. Petras (nee Spina), age 88, formerly of Newark, New Jersey, died on Friday May 23, 2008 at Summerville Assisted Living in Westminster, MD. She was born August 23, 1919 in Italy the daughter of late Dominic Spina and late Catherine Spina. She was the wife of the late Michael P.P. Petras. She was a housewife. She worked in Sales in Department Stores. She enjoyed reading, gardening with flowers and plants. She was the mother of Suzanne M. Dicken and husband James of Westminster and Diane K. Gardiner and husband Joseph of North Carolina. Loving grandmother of Matthew E. and Lauren M. Dicken and Paul and Danielle Gardiner. Loving great grandmother of Katelyn Brianna Dicken. Predeceased by 3 brothers. Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Wednesday May 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (Sullivan Hall) in Libertytown with Fr. John Dietzenbach officiating. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery, Libertytown, MD. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W.
