Carole Joy Lamb (nee Jenkins), 79 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.
She was the former wife of the late Robert Eugene Lamb.
She was born August 25, 1942, in Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Clayton Jenkins, Sr. and the late Elva Madelyn Boore Jenkins.
She proudly worked for the Government at the Bureau of Standards as a computer specialist for 37 years.
She loved the Hallmark channel, going to Charlestown Casino, and playing her games.
Devoted mother of her twin daughters Irma Jean Lamb & fiancé Craig Dwayne Combs and Karen Joy Colson & husband Ricky Lee Colson Sr. Loving sister of Robert C. Jenkins, Jr. Or Limestone, TN and Sharon Lee Riddle & husband David of Greeneville, TN. Devoted grandmother of Jamie Lee Bowman, Ricky Lee Colson, Jr, Robert LeRoy Colson, Bradley Thomas Colson, Brittany Nicole Colson, and step-grandchildren Chelsey Combs & Morgan Combs. Loving great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters LaRue Davis and Laverne Margaret Jenkins, and her companion Glenn Thomas Pennington, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School). Where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park.
