Charles David McDaniel, 62 of Sykesville, Maryland passed away following a courageous five-week battle at Carroll Hospital Center. With family at his side, he took the Lord’s hand on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022.
Dave was born March 4th, 1960, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the devoted son of the late Francis Xavier and Vernia Marie McDaniel.
Following high school, Dave served in the United States Marine Corps and lived his life as a proud American Patriot.
Known as Charlie to the love of his life, he shared over 4 1/2 happy years with fiancé Chiquita Phillips. In addition to his loving partner, Chiquita, Dave is survived by his 2 wonderful sons, David Xavier and Joseph Scott McDaniel. Fatherhood was an absolute privilege to Dave. He cherished being a Dad with all his heart.
Dave is also survived by siblings, Phyllis Emig, Patrick McDaniel, Wanda (Brian) Schneeman and Paul McDaniel.
Uncle Dave (Charlie) will be forever remembered for his kindness by many nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by brother Francis Mc Daniel and one niece.
Charlie shared invaluable gifts of love and support with his fiancé’s children, Ronald Jr and Loreal Phillips as well as their extended family.
Dave was a Machinist, dedicated to his work for the past 25 years, at BCS Machine Company, Inc.
Dave (Charlie) will be greatly missed for his deep devotion shown to family and loved ones.
