Charlie Hancock

Charlie Hancock, Sr., 86, of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away on June 14, 2023. Born in Loveville, MD to the late Joseph and Mary Alma Hancock (Long), he leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Alice Hancock (Howes).
Charlie dedicated many years as a delivery driver for Wonder Bread and was an active member of Prospect United Methodist Church, the local gun club, and the Mt. Airy bowling league. He also ran his own car and tractor repair business, Charlie's A/C Mobile.
He is survived by his wife, children Chuck Hancock, Jr. (Heather), Amy Hands (David), Lori Curbow, and Jeff Curbow (Darlene), 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his four siblings.
Charlie's warm spirit, loving nature, and unwavering dedication to his family and community will be greatly missed.
A gathering will take place on June 24, 2023, from 10-11 AM at Prospect United Methodist Church, 5923 Woodville Rd, Mount Airy, MD 21771, with a Celebration of Life service at 11 AM.
