Chuck Evans

Chuck “Poppy” R. Evans, 68, of Taylorsville, MD passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at his home.
He was the beloved husband of Marta Evans (nee Collier) for 39 years.
Chuck was born January 25, 1955, in Baltimore, MD son of the late Lewis Raymond Evans, Jr. and the late Edna Evans (nee Gillum).
He was a veteran of the United States Army, he was a Hockey Official and was the president of the South Eastern Hockey Officials Association. Chuck enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time outdoors with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Kayla Evans & husband Will Kowaleski, Kyle Janney & husband Bryan and Grant Evans & Livia Thewes; grandchildren Everett, Garrett, Brooke, and Brody; also survived by 4 siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
The celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 3 to 7 PM at Winfield Fire Hall 1320 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784.
