Clara B. Myers, 77 of Sykesville, MD passed away of Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center.
Born June 16, 1937 in Mount Airy, MD she was the daughter of the late Hazel Jones and the late Lester Williams. She was married for 61 years to Delano R. Myers, Sr. She has been a member for 61 years of Simpson United Methodist Church in Poplar Springs, MD, Where she was a communion director and organized Walk a Mile in My Shoes.
She leaves behind Children Gwendolyn Ellis and husband Jerome Ellis, Allen Myers and wife Diane Myers, Barbara Hill and husband Carl Hill, Eleanor Myers, Anthony Myers and wife Sharon Myers, Tammy Abdullah and husband Rasheed Abdullah, Jerome Myers and wife Estelle Myers and the late Rosetta Myers and late Delano Myers, Jr. Aunt Kate Gibson, Uncle Odell “Edgar” Young and a Host of Brothers, Sisters Grandchildren and other family members.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. OLD Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 11 AM at Simpson United Methodist Church, 16901 Hardy Rd. Mount Airy, MD 21771. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
