Died Saturday December 13, 2003 at his home in Mt. Airy.
He was the Spouse of 55 years to Fannie Mable Young Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was born April 30, 1924 in Arbutus MD the son of the late Aleck and late Bertha Feurherd Anderson.
Mr. Anderson Co-Owned and Operated a Service Station in the Ridgeville Area for a number of years. He was retired from King Pontiac Garage in Gaithersburg, MD. A member of Poplar Springs UM Church , Prudence Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M. in Mount Airy, MD Salt Water Fisherman’s Association. A Former member of the Mt. Airy Chapter #95 Order of the Eastern Star. Mr. Anderson was also an avid Hunter and Fisherman.
Surviving him besides his wife are : Sons Larry W. and Wife Charlene Anderson of Monrovia and Fred A. and Wife Karen Anderson of Monrovia. Brother: Aleck Anderson, Jr. of Littlestown, PA and Sisters: Irma Anderson and Nettie Potts both of Hagerstown,Grandchildren: Richard, Daniel, and Amanda Anderson all of Monrovia Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers: James, Robert and William Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 11:00 Am at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren 13356 Glissans Mill Rd. Mt. Airy, MD 21771 with the Rev. Wallace “ Bud” Lusk and Rev. Charles Leger officiating.
Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9 PM where a Masonic Memorial Service will take place Tues. a t 7:30 PM.
In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Locust Grove Church of the Brethren or Poplar Springs U.M. Church 1661 Frederick Rd. Poplar Springs, MD 21797.
