Clark Hanson Rippeon, 72 of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born January 9, 1940 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Harry H. and Miriam C. Stull Rippeon. Clark was graduated from Lisbon High School and he retired from Frall Developers, Inc. in 2006 where he had continued the farming skills learned on the family dairy farm in Cooksville. He was an avid reader and enjoyed both jigsaw and crossword puzzles. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his older brother H. Donald Rippeon in 1995. Surviving are a sister, Mary Jane Sullivan of Woodbine; a brother, Stanley N. Rippeon and wife Buna of Mount Airy; nieces Kimberlie J. Sullivan of Woodbine; Dawn L. Bowman and husband David and Dena C. Hartmann and husband Randy all of Mount Airy; nephew H. Hance Sullivan and wife Barbara of Woodbine; great nieces and nephews Lindsay (Bowman) and husband Jason Knapp, Jason and wife Jessica Bowman, Michael, Samantha and Shannen Sullivan, Dylan and Dustin Hartmann and great-great niece Stella Knapp. Funeral Service will be at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield at 10:00 AM Monday, March 12, 2012 with Pastor Mark Massey of Friendship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Cooksville. Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM, on Sunday at the funeral home.
