Cleo Walters

Cleo “Pete” D. Walters, 79 of New Windsor, MD, died Wednesday May 28, 2008 at home in New Windsor, MD. He was the spouse of Peggy A. (Seymour) Walters. He was born April 25, 1929 in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late Mary F. Parrish Walters and late Reginald Walters. He was a Plaster for over 40 years 26 with Jennings Mitchell and Son. Mr. Walters was a School Bus Driver for 19 years for Rill’s Bus Service. He was a 1946 graduate of Catonsville High School, Served as a Sgt in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, was a baseball coach and manager for Liberty Rd Baseball from 1964-1974. He was an avid Sports Fan: Following the Orioles, NASCAR enjoyed Bowling and playing cards; He was a member of Stone Chapel United Methodist Church, American Legion Sykesville Memorial Post #223 and a member of New Windsor Lions Club. Surviving in addition to his wife are Children and their spouses Deborah A. and Paul Arnold of Linwood, MD, Wayne D. and Laurie Walters of Westminster. Grandchildren; Heather A., Arnold, Rebecca A. Arnold, Drew A. Walters and Douglas O Walters. Memorial Services will be held Monday June 2, 2008 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Ellin Dize of Stone Chapel United Methodist Church officiating . Inurnment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton, MD. The family will receive friends on Saturday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home.
