Cora White

Cora Irene White (nee Reedy), 88, of Westminster, died Friday June 24, 2011 at Brinton Woods Nursing Home in Sykesville, MD. She was born November 25, 1922 in Virginia the daughter of the late Grant H. and Inda M. Reedy. She was the wife of the late Junior Balford White. Surviving are daughter Carol J. Adams and husband William David Adams of Mt. Airy, MD., granddaughter Angela M. Kaplan, great grandchildren Kayla, Shawn, and Faith Kaplan of Westminster, one sister Dorothy Lane of Glen Burnie, two brothers Virgil Reedy of Baltimore, MD and Lester Reedy of Virginia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by grandson Shawn D. Adams, one sister and seven brothers. She was a homemaker. She had worked at Eastern Products and was a member of D.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM; where Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Walter M. Bosman, Jr. of Salem U.M. Church officiating. Interment Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD. Memorial contributions can be made to the Favorite charity of choice.
