Dale E. Cormany, age 92, of Westminster went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2015. He was born August 21, 1922 in Clinton, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Spangler) Cormany. He was predeceased in death by his brother Arnold. He is survived by his wife of 68 wonderful years, Vera (Tyrpak) Cormany, daughter and son-in-law Nadine and Farhad Zangueneh of Germantown, MD, and son and daughter-in-law Kim and Carol Cormany of Sykesville, MD; 8 grandchildren: Sherry (Neil) Bridge, David (Bridget) Zangueneh, Natasha Cormany, Ekaterina (Chris) Gobeli, Stacey (Travis) Goldman, Michael (Michelle) Cormany, Dan Cormany and Olivia Cormany and 3 great grandchildren: Victoria Gobeli, Claire Cormany, & McKenzie Goldman. He was employed for over 35 years by Firestone Tire and Rubber Corporation as a supervisor in Akron, Ohio, and later by Manchester School System for over 10 years in New Franklin, Ohio. He served with distinction with the 99th Infantry Division during WWII, most notable in the Battle of the Bulge. He enjoyed wood-working and gardening. Later in life he and his wife enjoyed making day trips with friends. He was a member of St. James the Apostle Orthodox Church in Westminster, MD. Previously he was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore, Ohio. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday March 3, 2015 6 to 8 PM at St James the Apostle Orthodox Church 37 S. Cranberry Rd. Westminster, MD 21157. Where funeral services will take place Wednesday, March 4, 2015 10 AM. Interment to follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster, MD
