Daniel Holden

Daniel Francis Holden of Westminster, MD, age 67, died Saturday, April 29, 2017. Danny Holden was the spouse of Lynn Bailey-Holden. Lynn passed away in April of 2007. Danny was born in Baltimore, Maryland the son of Gerald and Helen Holden. He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Penny (Holden) Parrish. Danny leaves behind four children; his oldest son Daniel Francis Neal his wife Cathy Harris Neal and their son Grayson James Neal, his youngest son Eric William Neal his wife and Kara Michelle Neal their children; daughter Hailey, and sons Greg, Connor, and Tanner. He is also survived by his older brother Gerald Thompson Holden Jr. ,his wife Karen Hall-Holden and family including daughter Gerri Lynn Haines her husband Kenneth Haines; their children Taylor and Levi Haines, son George Scott Holden his wife Ashely Holden and daughter Sadie, daughter Virginia Lee Holden with fiancé Matthew Michael Murphy. Danny is also survived by two daughters Rachael Shell and Amber Danielle Cox. Finally, in recent months Kelly Sanner was his at home caregiver.
Danny was a Private in the United States Marines serving on the frontlines in Vietnam, where he received at least one Purple Heart Medal for injuries sustained in the line of duty. He was an active member of the Baltimore and Pikesville Fire Department, Littlestown Fraternal Order of Eagles, Messiah Lutheran Church, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services for Daniel Holden will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA in Winfield, Maryland on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Guest will be received for viewing at 3pm and services will immediately follow at 4pm. www.burrier-queen.com
