Delores “Dee” Ann Hemler, age 68, of Sykesville, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Transitions Healthcare Center in Sykesville, MD.
She was born September 12, 1948 in Westernport, Allegany County, Maryland, the daughter of the late Walter Gregus and the late Edith Marsh Furman.
She was a housewife. She enjoyed scratch offs and the VFW.
She was the mother of Stephen and Joseph Hemler both of Martinsburg, West Virginia; sister of Wilma Fogler of Finksburg, Debra Furman of Reisterstown, and the late Lloyd Butts; grandmother of Dylan Hemler of Martinsburg, West Virginia; also survived by Aunts Helen Gregus Woods of Morgantown, West Virginia, Anna Gregus Jones of Lorain, Ohio, Mary Gregus Wilson of Baltimore and Uncle Ted Gregus of Winter Haven, Florida; also survived by 3 nephews and 1 niece.
Gathering of family and friends will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 12:30-1:00 PM; at which time Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 PM with Rev. William C. Shimer officiating, and fellowship luncheon at the funeral home Celebration of Life room; Private inurnment; Memorial Contributions can be made to the favorite charity of choice.
