Dolores Burgess

Dolores Elizabeth Burgess of Pawleys Island, SC formerly of Carroll County, MD, died Thursday August 15, 2024, at the Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC.
She was the spouse of over 50 years to Frederick William Burgess.
She was born March 17, 1937, in Finksburg, MD the daughter of the late Arthur Peary Edmondson and Dorothy Louise Cornell.
Mrs. Burgess worked as a Shipment Packaging Associate for Random House in Westminster, MD. She was a member of the Westminster Moose and also of the Sykesville Post of the American Legion. She enjoyed crafts, collecting antiques, and going on cruises. Her favorite activity was spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Michael Lee and Noreen Victoria Burgess of Pawleys Island, daughter and son-in-law Lisa Jo and Scott Singleton of Westminster, sister Cindy Cornell, and brother Myron Galen Edmondson. Grandchildren: Carrie Ann Jollie, David William Burgess, Steven Michael Burgess, Micheal Neal Burgess. 11 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son Curtis Neal Burgess, brother Arthur Peary Edmondson Jr., grandson Jason Craig Berry.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd., Winfield, MD 21784 with Pastor Butch Marvin of LCBC Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the services from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
