Doris Heise
March 18, 1924 — December 30, 2018
Doris F. Heise, born March 18, 1924 passed away December 30, 2018 at the Dove House in Carroll County Maryland with her devoted daughter at her side. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 68 years, Albert F. Heise, who passed September 4, 2011, her parents Kenneth and Mildred Standiford and great grandson Dominic Wright. She was the mother of three children, Albert and wife, Lynn, Stanley and long-time friend, Susan, and daughter, Elise Smith. Also survived by grandchildren Jessica (Sherod) Pinkard, Michael (Kathryn) Heise, Joshua Carter and James A. Smith and by great-grandchildren Hailey, Malachi, Isaiah, William, Aaliyah, Lily, Ryland, Bentley and Jameson.
As a woman who loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, Doris was compassionate and gentle of heart. She was an active and long-time member of Colonial Baptist Church of Randallstown; Maryland and she dearly loved her church family. She and her husband enjoyed each other’s company and they especially liked dining out and taking day trips in the mountains. Doris saw being a wife, mother and home-maker her calling in life and derived a great deal of enjoyment from taking care of her family and home. Her hobbies included baking, sewing and crocheting. Doris’ passing has left a void on this earth but has filled a greater one in Heaven.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2-4 PM at the BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, Md 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School). Where funeral service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:30 AM.
Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
