Doris Marie Smith (nee Schaeffer), age 91, of Marvin Gardens, Eldersburg, MD, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster.
She was the wife of the late Charles Frederick “Fritz” Smith.
She was born September 14, 1923, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Clarence Schaeffer and the late Anna W. Schaeffer (nee Weller).
She worked for the US Government as a Social Insurance Adjuster. She was a current member of Wesley Freedom U.M. Church in Eldersburg.
She was the mother of Linda Spafford of Eldersburg, Leslee Arnold of Sandpoint, Idaho, Cheryl Koerner of Rockledge, FL,. Charles B. Smith of Winfield, Scott Smith of Eldersburg, and Jeffrey Smith of Pasadena, MD.
Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 3-7 PM; where South Carroll Lioness Lions Club and Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM at Funeral Home.
