Dorothy Mae Albertini (nee Hynson), 89 of Eldersburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Dove House in Westminster, MD

She was the wife of the late Carmeno Albertini, Jr., her husband of 62 years.

Born May 14, 1935, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Presley Waite Hynson and Theresa Margaret Hynson (nee McElroy).

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, baking, and loved spending time with her family. Her working career began with C&P Telephone and retired from Verizon in 2001. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg.

She is survived by her children Carmeno Albertini, III and wife Sheila; Theresa Jacobs and husband Larry; Marianne Taylor and husband Rick; Lisa Madairy; and David Albertini and wife Dawn. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Christina, Matthew, Anthony, Timothy, Dominic, Maria, Bryan, and Jeffrey; 4 great-grandchildren, Noah, Chessa, Emerson, and Adalynn; her brother, James Hynson; many nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings Joan Truitt, Patricia Hynson, Presley Hynson; Sisters-in-law Paulette Hynson and Margaret Hynson; and son-in-law Lee Madairy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 3-5 & 7-9 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School).

A funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD. If you are unable to attended in person you can livestream the service from Saintjoseph.cc/watch/ Or Facebook.com/saintjosephcc


Interment will follow in Loudon Park Cemetery.
