Dorothy Kirk (nee Connolly), age 98 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Sun Valley Assisted Living in Westminster, MD.
She was born April 15, 1923, in Hebbville, MD, the daughter of the late John Carroll Connolly and the late Louise Marie Connolly (nee Failing)
She was the wife of the late Otis H. Kirk, Sr.
She enjoyed baking, crocheting and oil painting.
She is survived by her daughter Jean Baum and companion Joseph Cutler, and daughter-in-law Joyce Kirk; grandchildren Karen Dudley & husband Brian, Otis H. Kirk, III & wife Michele, Douglas Baum & fiancé Megan Bates, Kimberly Warfield & husband Charles, Denise Sherwood & husband Greg, and James Kirk & fiancé Monique Klapka. Also survived by her grandchildren Samuel Warfield, Lauren Warfield, McKenzie Warfield, John Kirk, Andrew Kirk, Kaitlyn Dudley and Allison Dudley and her niece Jacquie Sherwood.
Preceded in death by her son Otis H. Kirk, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 5:00 – 7:30 PM at which time the funeral service will begin at 7:30 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School).
Inurnment will be private.
