Douglas D. Barnes, age 78, of Sykesville, MD, died Monday, October 21, 2024, at his home.
He was born in Heerlen, Netherlands on April 24, 1946, the son of the late Douglas Arthur Barnes and the late Carla B. Barnes (nee Marreẻ).
He was the husband of the late Debra R. Barnes (nee Sticher).
He was a retired tractor trailer driver for Security Storage Moving Company; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing. He served in the Army during Vietnam.
Survived by his daughter Trasie Barnes Davis and husband Mike; grandchildren Kristan Wroten, Nicole Wroten and Greg Wroten, Jr., also survived by 4 great grandchildren; brother of Donna Barnes and the late James, George, and Donald Barnes. predeceased by his daughter late Carrie Barnes.
