He was the spouse of Marsha Lynn (Hidalgo) Henley.
Doug was born June 12, 1947 in Baltimore, MD.
The son of the late Daniel O. Henley and the late Maxine Clary Henley.
Doug was owner and operator of The Rewst, Bar/Restaurant in Taylorsville, Owner and Operator, with his wife, Marsha, of Convenience Catering in Mt. Airy, Executive Director of the War Memorial in Baltimore City before retirement. Other Organizations and positions included Past Department Commander of the American Legion State of MD, Member of Mt. Airy Gold Star Post 191 American Legion and Sons of American Legion, he served as Chairman of the National Membership Committee, and a member of Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department, Board of Directors of MD Center for Veterans Education and Training. Served in the US Navy
Surviving in addition to his wife are Daughter and Son-in-law Kelly and Dan Eshelman of Northern Cambria, PA, Son Jay Henley of Woodbine, Daughter Katie Henley of West Hollywood, CA Brother Danny Henley, Sister Robin Cline, Grandchildren Logan, Bohde, and Aubrey Henley. Step Grandchildren Caylee, Blake and Brock Eshelman, Close Family friend (like family) David Beall and Daughter-in-law Jami Henley. Preceded in death by Son, David Henley.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd., Winfield, MD 21784 with Legion Services at 8 PM
