Dwight Edward Newton, age 69, of Marriottsville, MD, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD.
He was born December 28, 1954, in Howard County, Maryland; the son of Mary E. Newton (nee Williams) of Florida and the late Bueford L. Newton.
Dwight was the husband of Kathleen L. Newton (nee Harden), for 48 years.
He was an Autobody Technician; Past master three times of the Sharon Lodge #182 Reisterstown, MD, Member of the Boumi Shriners Temple, and Life Member of Liberty Road Volunteers Fire Department.
He was the father of Jamie LaRoque ( Daughter) and Corey Newton (son), Fiance Lauren Wilson brother of-Betsy Breeding of Florida, the late Robert Newton, and Joseph Newton of Florida; grandfather of Cheyanne Suta, daughter of Corey and Alexander LaRoque, Kaden Franklin, and Jaxon Franklin, sons of Jamie.
Friends may join at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM-5:00PM; with a Masonic Sharon Lodge #182 Service at 4:30pm; Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
