Earl H. Daniel, 80 of Winfield passed away on Saturday June 15, 2024 at Lorien Health Services in Taneytown, MD.
He was the husband of Sherry L Daniel of Winfield for 59 years.
He was born on April 6, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Earl Daniel and the late Christine Daniel (nee Allen).
Earl graduated from Dundalk Senior High School in 1962, from Towson State University in 1988, and he also served as a member of the Maryland National Guard in the 29th Division. He worked as a consultant for NASA for 42 years as a technical writer, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, loved to feed the birds and had a soft spot for his outdoor cats. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t ‘fix’.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son Christopher Daniel, grandsons Henry and Walter Daniel, daughter Heather Lane, granddaughter Sierra Lane and grandson Dan Lane, and daughter Megan Myers and son-in-law Brad Myers as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by brother Leander Daniel, sister Linda Daniel and brother Leslie Daniel.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 20, 2024 4 PM to 7 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Sykesville, MD 21784 where Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM Interment to follow in Taylorsville Cemetery, Taylorsville, MD
