Edwin Casswell
April 11, 1946 — October 1, 2014
Edwin Gwynn Casswell, Jr, age 68 of Woodbine, MD ended his fight with melanoma on October 1, 2014 in his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was a treasured father to Jennifer Casswell-Johnson, Kelly Casswell, Kathryn Boren and Stacy Casswell, and grandfather to Kamryn Boren. He was a generous man who loved and cherished his five girls.
Ed will be joining his loving mother and father, Lillian (Morris) Casswell and Edwin Casswell. He is survived by his brother, James Casswell, and his five sisters, Marjorie Casswell, Rebecca Casswell, Laura Casswell, Nancy Salvangi and Teresa Casswell.
Ed was born April 11, 1946, in Washington DC. He grew up in Clinton, MD working on the family farm. He was a member of Surrattsville High School class of 1964 and a 1970 graduate of the University of Maryland. He ended his 40-year storied career as a Federal Government employee with the Social Security Administration on August 1, 2014.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, October 9th at Burrier-Queen Funeral and Crematory, P. A, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. on Liberty Road in Winfield, MD, from 1:00-3:00pm with a reception on location to follow.
