Effa Lee "Effie" Roehrle, 77, of Mt. Airy, died July 20, 2012, at The Dove House in Westminster after a long illness. Born January 28, 1935, in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the daughter of Floyd and Ethelyn Saxton of Baltimore. She was the wife of Veronn W. Roehrle. After graduating from Milford Mill High School in 1954, she attended the Bard Avon School. She worked for the Baltimore City Health ­­­Department before leaving work to start her family. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Randallstown and Mt. Olive Methodist Church in Mt. Airy. She enjoyed spending time with her animals, vacationing at the beach, and travelling to the Grand Tetons. Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a sister, A. Annette Saxton, of Delta, PA; a daughter, Kelee E. Roehrle, and a son, Erin S. Roehrle, both of Westminster; two grand-daughters, Paeten and Bronwyn Roseli. Family and friends will be received Saturday July 28, 2012 9 AM to 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 where service be held at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Mt. Olive Methodist Church Cemetery at 2927 Gillis Falls Road, Mt. Airy with a Luncheon to follow at Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Olive Methodist Church at the address above or to The Humane Society of Carroll County, c/o Nicky Ratliff, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158.
