Elizabeth Willey

Elizabeth Grace Willey, lovingly known as Lizzy, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2024, at Carroll Hospital in Westminster, Maryland. Born on April 26, 2010, Lizzy brought immense joy and light to the world during her 14 years. Lizzy’s memory will forever be cherished and loved by her parents, Robert and Carol Willey; her sister, Katelyn Willey; and Katelyn’s fiancé, Curtis Sykes. Her time with us, though far too brief, left a profound and lasting impact on all who knew her. A freshman at Century High School, Lizzy excelled academically and was honored with a place on the Dean’s List. She was an active member of the JROTC team, where her determination and leadership were evident. Lizzy also found joy and purpose in her church community, participating in the youth group and caring for children in the nursery. Lizzy embraced life with boundless enthusiasm. She loved horseback riding, practicing karate, and exploring new hobbies with curiosity and passion. Known for her radiant energy and ability to brighten any room she entered, Lizzy had a remarkable gift for bringing laughter and smiles to those around her. Her honest and determined nature—sometimes delightfully stubborn—was a reflection of her spirited personality. Those who knew Lizzy will remember her as a beautiful soul with a genuine heart and unwavering kindness. Her laughter, positivity, and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. May Elizabeth Grace Willey’s memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11 AM at Friendship Baptist Church 1391 Sykesville Road Sykesville, MD 21784.
