Ellen Weetenkamp (nee McGrath), age 73 of Catonsville, MD died on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care Unit, MedStar Harbor Hospital, in Baltimore, MD.
She was born September 22, 1947 in Baltimore, the daughter of the late William E. McGrath, M.D. and the late Doris Walkling Wagner. Dear sister of the late Jane McGrath, Ann Macin (Phil), Kevin McGrath (Claudia), Mary McGrath Storch (Tom), Tim McGrath (Gretchen), the late Tom McGrath and Brigid Shifflett (Tim). Survived by her loving and adoring husband John H. Weetenkamp, III, and stepchildren John Weetenkamp, IV (Meg), Andy Weetenkamp (Kristen), and Leah Tyrrell (Bill). Also survived by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Also survived by a son Sean McGrath (Jennifer) and grandson Nate. Her granddaughter Grace predeceased Ellen. She attended St. Mark Catholic Grade School in Catonsville, Seton High School and the former St. Agnes School of Nursing in Baltimore. She was a retired Registered Nurse.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 11 A.M. at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD 21102.
Donations may be made in honor of Ellen and her granddaughter Grace to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/) for the benefit of pediatric cancer.
