Elmer Franklin Rohrback, Sr passed away on July 23, 2016 at the University Of Maryland Medical Center.
He was born on June 19, 1931 in Alberton, MD.
He was the husband of the late Betty Jane Rohrback.
He was the son of the late Odus and Catherine Rohrback.
He was predeceased by sisters Alberta Collins, Lucille Rhodes and brother Herbert “Jack” Rohrback.
He retired from C.R. Daniels in Ellicott City, MD in 1980 and later worked for Dunnrite Casual Furniture in Sykesville, MD .
Elmer loved fishing, was an avid NASCAR and WWE fan and enjoyed watching the Young and the Restless. He loved a good meal, a great cup of coffee and loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was a devoted, caring father and a true family man.
He is survived by son Elmer F. Rohrback, Jr of Sykesville, daughters and sons in law Sharon Groomes and Bill Groomes of Sykesville, MD; Diane and Dennis Shugars of Westminster, MD; and Virginia and James Keiser of Finskburg, MD.
He was the cherished grandfather of Dr. Amber Groomes and husband Brian Henry of Finksburg, MD;
Kyle Groomes and wife Amanda Myers of Falling Waters, West Virginia; Matthew Shugars of Westminster, MD; Kevin Keiser of Finksburg, MD and David Shugars and wife Nichole Shugars of Culpepper, Va.
He was the great grandfather of Wesley Henry of Finksburg, MD; Paisley Groomes of Falling Waters, West Virginia; Cambria, Cassidy and Colin Shugars and Abrianna and Kira Moon of Culpepper, Va.
He is also survived by sister Linda Chapman and husband Bob of Sevierville, TN; Eugene Rohrback and wife Francis of Pikesville, MD; and Howard Rohrback and wife Nancy of Manchester, MD and cherished extended family members Joey and Brenna Delawder.
