Elmer Franklin Rohrback, Jr, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at his home. He was the son of the late Elmer F. Rohrback, Sr and Betty Jane (Brown) Rohrback.
Junior was born February 8th, 1963 in Baltimore, MD and lived in Sykesville, MD since he was a young child. He attended South Carroll High School. He was employed in maintenance at Gaither Manor Apartments. Junior loved to hunt, especially bow hunting deer, target shooting, fishing and NASCAR. Over the years he spent countless hours on the river banks, lakes and ponds fishing with his father, nephews, and friends.
Junior is survived by sisters Sharon Groomes of Falling Waters, WVA, Diane Shugars and husband Dennis of Westminster, MD and Virginia Keiser and husband James of Finksburg, MD; Niece Amber Groomes(Brian); Nephews Kyle Groomes(Amanda), David Shugars(Erin), Matthew Shugars(Erin), and Kevin Keiser; great nieces and nephews, Cambria, Cassidy and Colin Shugars, Wesley and Ella Henry and Paisley, Piper and Kohdi Groomes; and many cousins.
He was also a bonus grandfather to Remi, Levi and Jovi Bowers and a bonus uncle to Brenna Delawder. He also leaves behind many dear friends. Junior was predeceased by brother in law Bill Groomes, loving companion Denise Irons Brauning, and bonus nephew Joey Delawder.
The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD where a service will follow at 11am. Please dress casually.
