Elsie Conaway

Elsie Amanda Conaway (nee Porter), age 89, of Woodbine, MD, died Wednesday December 13, 2006 at her sister’s home in Westminster . She was born July 14, 1917 in Woodbine, MD the daughter of the late Ollie and Mamie Porter (nee Green). She was the wife of the late Brice W. Conaway who passed away on June 16, 1989. She is survived by sisters Dollie Barnhart of Westminster and Myra Davis and Erma J. Gartrell of Woodbine. Predeceased by sisters Ruby Justice, Irene Gue, Margaret Bennett, and Brothers Carroll Porter and Andrew Porter. She did house cleaning for people, sewing for people and she loved her violets. Funeral Service will be held Saturday December 16, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Pastor David Bare Chaplain of Carroll Hospice, Inc. officiating. Interment Pleasant Ridge Cemetery , Woodbine and Bethel Road , Woodbine , MD. Pallbearers will be Roland Barnhart, Ralph Barnhart, Ronnie Barnhart, Billy Pearson, Roger Conaway and Michael Arentz. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Hospice, Inc. 95 Carroll Street , Westminster , MD 21157 .
