Elsie Ruth Russell (nee Teat), age 93, formerly of Eldersburg, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Westminster, MD.
She was born July 2, 1922 in Barclay, Maryland, the daughter of the late Howard E. Teat and the late Anna Groft Teat.
She was the wife of the late James T. Russell, Sr.
She was a housewife. Elsie loved growing anything from a seed, she had a green thumb for growing flowers, loved birds, avid reader, loved watching the moon rise and the sun set, lived for her five children.
She was the mother of James Thomas Russell, Jr., and wife Mary Lou of West Virginia, Robert Alan Russell and wife Chari of Westminster, John “Jack” Howard Russell and wife Darlene of Baltimore, Nancy Baer of Westminster, and Sandra A. Parks and husband Bill of Westminster; loving grandmother of Sheryl Chalk and husband Scott, James Russell, 3rd, Jerry Whitcomb and wife Kim, Tony Whitcomb and wife Barbara, Lindsay Dell and husband Doug, John Russell, Michael Russell and the late Stacey Ritter and Todd Keith; great grandchildren; Tori Weatherington, Rachel Russell, Rebecca Russell, Jordan Whitcomb, Justin Whitcomb, Bailey Whitcomb, Erica Whitcomb, Colton Whitcomb, Cooper Whitcomb, Garrett Dell, Ethan Dell, Riley Dell and Madeline Dell; also survived by sister of Nancy Snyder and a sister in law Grace Teat.
