Emma Brantley
July 8, 1926 — November 21, 2017
Brantley, Emma Josephine, “Emma Jo” on November 21, 2017. She lived 91 full and blessed years and is survived by her nine loving children, Joanne Atkinson, Shirley Sandoz, Eugene Brantley, Michael Brantley, Catherine Groves, Robert Brantley, Thomas Brantley, Lawrence Brantley, Timothy Brantley, their spouses, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Emma Jo was a member of St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Church in Woodstock Maryland from birth and the organist for twenty-five years. She was active in the church and community her entire life, an accomplished seamstress and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will finally be with her beloved Gene once again.
Emma Jo knew everyone and everyone knew and loved Emma Jo.
There will be a viewing at Burrier Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784 on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a Funeral Mass at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Church, 10800 Old Court Rd, Woodstock MD 21163 on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1 p.m. Internment will follow at St Alphonsus Rodriguez Church Cemetery.
