Ernest V. Hartig, age 94, of Baltimore, MD., died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Seasons Hospice @ Northwest Hospital Center, Randallstown, MD.
He was born September 28, 1918 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late August Hartig and the late Adelaide VonHohenthal Hartig.
He was a Steel Fabricator for Dietrich Brother and Durby Steel for 39 years. He severed in the US Navy from 1944-1946 during WWII. He loved his farm and showing his antique tractors.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy Lucille Hartig (nee Heacock) for 68 years.
He was the father of Janet L. Mentzer, Wayne E. Hartig and wife Barbara and Elaine D. Hartig. Brother of the late Karl Hartig. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
