Esther Lee Roberts (nee Hurlebaus), age 71, of Mt. Airy, formerly of Sunshine, MD, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Carroll Hospice, Inc.-Dove House in Westminster, MD.
She was born December 4, 1941 in Sunshine, Maryland, the daughter of the late Carl Hurlebaus and the late Gladys P. Hurlebaus.
She was a happy resident at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Mt. Airy for the past 6 years. She drove her race car at 75/80 Racetrack. She loved animals and music and was an avid dancer. She participated in church activities. She worked in her family owned General Store/Gas Station in Sunshine.
She was the niece of the late William H. “Bill” Hurlebaus.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Graveside and interment service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 10:00 am at Mount Carmel Patuxent Cemetery, 3067 Mt. Carmel Cemetery Road, Brookeville, MD and Memorial Service Thursday September 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant View Nursing Home in the Day Room, 4101 Old National Pike, Mt. Airy with the Rev. Blaine Cutter and Pastor Clark Baisdon officiating.
