Evelyn Elizabeth Nickoles (nee Wachter), age 83, of Randallstown, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Season’s Hospice in Randallstown, MD, after a lengthy illness.
She was born October 3, 1930 in Frederick MD, the daughter of the late Earl M. and Leona C. Wachter
She was a Homemaker and previously worked as an Assistant Manager at Equitable Trust Company. She was an active advocate for her disabled son. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #122. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog, Pepe.
She was the wife of the late Albert Francis Nickoles whom she married on October 16, 1948.
Surviving are daughters and son- in law, Brenda K. Higgs of Eldersburg, Earleen and Edward Upton III of Randallstown, and son Robert F. Nickoles of Reisterstown; grandchildren Edward Upton IV and wife Erin and Kelly Upton and great-grandchildren Raleigh and Jake Upton, brothers and sisters-in law Dorothy Koontz, Mary Gorsuch, Joseph and Ola Mae Nickoles, Charles and Marlene Nickoles, Roland and Diane Nickoles, Margaret Green and Dorothy Reisburg and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son-in-law Robert M. Higgs, brother in law William Nickoles, sisters and brothers-in-laws Mildred and William Welsh, Mae and Charles Brady, Teresa and Frank Grimes, Sr., Hilda and Charles Greenwalt, Shirley Koontz and Gilbert Gorsuch.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Wed. 7-9 & Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9 PM; where funeral service will be held Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Gary Koontz officiating.
Interment Lake View Memorial Park.
